Who we are

Center for Rural Affairs and Community Development (CERACODE), is a private, non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Iba, Osun State. CERACODE, a duly registered NGO was formed in 2017 in response to the yearnings of rural communities for development in developed countries such as Nigeria. CERACODE provides unbiased analysis and information on the challenges, needs, and opportunities facing rural Nigeria.

CERACODE aim to spur public dialog and help policymakers understand the rural impacts of public policies and programs. The center builds the capacity of community leaders and policymakers by providing technical support, applied research, policy evaluation, dissemination and outreach, decision support tools and training across the state.

CERACODE is a clearinghouse for information on rural issues, coordinates rural research, and works with state agencies on issues of importance to rural communities. The institute programs and services is geared towards helping communities with effective and result-oriented training for sustainable development. Taking part in growing conversations around the globe regarding rural community and economic development informed the establishment.
