Nigeria’s Ratio of Doctors to population is said to be about one doctor to 5,000 patients. In fact, some estimate it is as wide as one doctor to 10,000 patients. This is nothing short of a national crisis when compared to the world health organization (WHO)’s recommendation of one doctor to 600 patients!
