The Network Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the company’s network operates with maximum uptime, providing fast and reliable connections for both employees and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Ensure maximum uptime of the company’s network to provide fast and reliable connections.
Design and implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks.
Monitor and troubleshoot the entire network and report network status to key stakeholders.
Maintain all network devices.
Back up critical configuration information for core and other critical network devices (routers and switches).
Configure routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
Attend to other assignments as directed by the Head of Department.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or any related field
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or Huawei Certified Network Professional (HCNP)
Hands-on experience with routing and switching protocols.
Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models.
Knowledgeable in various network concepts, protocols, designs, and implementation.
Deep understanding and experience with Cisco and Huawei network devices.
Proficiency in network fault identification and monitoring tools.
Liaising with OEM, vendor and third party for support on the network.
Excellent judgment, analytical, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
Strong communication skills (oral and written), teamwork abilities, and problem-solving skills.
