Job Summary:

The Dangote Cement Plc is in search of an extremely skilled Assistant General Manager of Mechanical, who specializes in the Cement Industry. As the Assistant General Manager, your main responsibility will be to supervise the mechanical operations of our cement plants, guaranteeing the efficient operation of the machinery and equipment..

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians in the maintenance, repair, and operation of cement plant machinery.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and reliability of mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety consciousness among team members.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize plant performance and minimize downtime.
• Manage maintenance budgets, procurement, and inventory control.
• Create reports and presentations to communicate maintenance activities and performance to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the cement industry
• Strong knowledge of cement plant machinery and equipment
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Good knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the cement industry
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications
